Having a safe, decent place to call home and having it be affordable is a blessing we get to witness first hand with each family that becomes a new homeowner with us. #64 The Holloway Family
New Habitat Homeowner #64, Mi'Oshi Holloway and her 2 sons, Kentrell and Ka'Dryian had their Home Dedication on Thursday, Oct. 24, 2019. It was a joyful event with many community members, neighbors, volunteers, friends, family and co-workers. We were also very thankful to have Brook from FHLB of Cincinnati and Curtis from KHC come join us for the event. They play a huge part in making home happen!

#66 The Morgan Family
Cristina Morgan and her son, Hemi will soon be the new homeowners at 218 S. Adams St. They both have worked very hard thoughout the Partnership program towards the dream of having a safe, decent and affordable place to call home. We couldn't be happier for them as they will soon begin making wonderful new memories in a home of thier very own! Due to the pandemic we are all facing together, building has slowed some but we are working in small limited teams each week to see that we can get this home finished as soon as safely possible to do so. Please keep our volunteers, homeowners and staff in your prayers as we all work through this crisis together. Thank you and stay safe! #inthistogether

#67 Wiles Family
Dennis and Janice were the 2nd home to be built as part of the "City Project Partnership" across from the water park on Letcher St. Dennis became apart of the "T-Crew" volunteers and was ready on site every Tuesday and Thursday to help build on the houses. Both him and his wife raise their grandkids and they were so thankful to finally have a home of their own where the kids could run and play outside! The Eastside waterpark feature was the perfect place and they couldn't have been more excited to buy a home right next door! Congrats Wiles Family and Welcome Home!

Ashley completed our Partnership Program with flying colors! She stayed very involved throughout the entire process and helped with all our fundraising opportunities where she could give back and help make a difference for the next family! She has become a wonderful Habitat advocate and the faith she carries with her daily has continued to help her succeed with her new homeownership responsibilities. Henderson Habitat is blessed to have Ashley and her son as a part of our Habitat family!

#72 Weber Family
Tommy and Justus became first time homeowners in November 2021. There road to getting there was very unique and almost a dream that never came true, or so they thought.... They lost out on the original Habitat home that they were supposed to buy in 2015 due to some unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. This was devastating to their family to have worked and believed so hard in something only to have it pulled from their hands so close to completion. However they believe this was actually a blessing even though it felt completely opposite. Fast forward to 2020 when we held an open application round and they reapplied. It ended up taking some convincing, but once they saw things moving in the right direction and they were able to see that finish line again, they gained back the hope they had lost. They were no longer afraid that their dreams were not going to become a reality anymore because they had the willpower and faith to make it happen for their family! We are so proud and happy for the Weber family and welcome them with open arms to our Habitat family!
