Henderson Habitat stays active in the community year-round, participating in a variety of events—from groundbreaking ceremonies, volunteer and customer appreciation days, the Annual Tri-Fest 5K Race, and housing fairs to educational workshops and home dedications. In fall 2019, we hosted our first online raffle, raising $42,500—a great success that marked the beginning of our now highly anticipated bourbon raffles. Since then, we’ve held eight more bourbon raffles, all selling out!
Our largest raffle to date was in fall 2023, where 10,000 tickets sold out in just 44 days, with 32 unique bourbon collections awarded. But 2024 took it even further! The Bourbon Barrel Head Collections Raffle broke records, surpassing previous sales by 5,000 tickets and awarding 51 impressive bourbon collections. Prizes included some rare finds like Double Eagle Very Rare, two OFCs, Pappy Van Winkle, and each winner also received a custom laser-engraved bourbon barrel lid to proudly display. Meeting the winners and sharing in their excitement was an incredible experience for our Henderson Habitat team.
Each event like this helps us work toward our mission of providing safe, affordable housing for families in the community. It’s an opportunity to connect with Habitat homeowners—past, present, and future—and to recognize the tremendous impact of our volunteers and supporters.
