American Flag Fundraiser
In 2022 Henderson Habitat started the Annual American Flag Program, along with a generous donation of brand new American flags from Independence Bank. Starting in May, we will begin this program which will be placing a 7' pole and flag in yards across the community to proudly display. The annual membership cost is $60 per year for each flag installed in your yard. If you have a large yard, you may want to order multiple flags that we are happy to set up however you like. Flags will be placed on the property at the sole discretion of the member. Flags will first be placed by Memorial Day and then picked up by July 20th. Flags will then be set up again by Patriots Day and taken back up for the year by November 21st. This will allow the flags to be cleaned and stored until the following year.
We are also offering the small graveside flag placements that will be staked in the ground next to the headstone. These flags will be $30 annually and follow the same schedule as the larger flags. These American flags are a beautiful way to show your patriotism and to support safe, decent and affordable housing in the community!Help us spread the word of this wonderful service we now provide to Henderson County Residents! Please note that only 100 flags will be available for the 2024 season. Once these have been reserved, we will not be accepting new 2025 memberships until late November.
